Increased the number of Fibber McGee and Molly shows to 10. Began a new Old-Time Radio pages format with one series per page which gives some room to provide some information about the series and list as many shows as desired. Will be converting the other series to this format and adding new ones.

Began implementation of my own Picture Gallery instead of using Snapfish (another web site) to hold my pictures. So far have implemented only the pictures from the 1800's - will soon put in the other pictures. An advantage is you can now download FULL SIZE PICTURES. Before, you would get only the thumbnail size pictures.

The Turnbo Papers - 28 volumes of Civil War stories and stories from the second half of the 1800's. Centers on Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas.
Have tentatively identified Bennett C. Clark (Cooper Co.) as the father of Margaret Jane Randolph nee Clark (Camden Co.) She was living with a Clinton Family in 1860. Added several people from the Britton Family (Wilburn Randolph's Mothers' maiden name) and added a marriage between a Britton and Clark.
Working on identifying the Civil War record of Wilson Randolph. In one military record his date of death was shown as 5 Dec 1861 from wounds received in action near Salem, Mo. I found the report by the Captain of his unit, Bowen's Battalion, telling of a 4 AM attack on the Union's camp near Salem on 3 Sept 1861. However the date of his death doesn't match the story of his death as told by Wilburn and later recorded. He enlisted in August of 1861 and was in 2 units. I don't know if 6 months of service is enough time to have been in 2 units unless there was an initial transfer. I'm trying to locate where he is buried and hope to confirm the date of death.
Background
My first Napier ancestor in this country immigrated from Scotland ca 1655. Dr. Patrick Napier, a physician, came to Virginia where he practiced his trade. His gg grandson, Ashford Napier Jr., moved west from Virginia living in various places on the way. In 1829 he was living in Gallatin County, Illinois (extreme southern Illinois) where his son, Cyrus Napier, was born. He may have lived in Ozark County Missouri for a short time but by 1840 he was living in Izard County, Arkansas, in the Mountain Home area.
Cyrus married Nancy K Bennett in 1857. Early in the Civil War, Cyrus volunteered for the state militia in Taney County, Missouri. While stationed at or near Springfield, Missouri, he purchased a farm in Webster County, just east of Springfield. He raised his family in Webster County and that is where he lived the remainder of his days.
I am also researching my mother's side of the family, but so far, it has been more difficult to uncover. Less work been done by others and less information is readily available.
An area of particular interest is to find out and document what it was like to live in these times.
All branches of my ancestry are targets for study. So far I've found I'm descended from immigrants from Scotland, England, France, and Germany as well as from several Indians (American Natives).
